What is the Restored Hope Network (RHN)?
We are a coalition of more than 55 Christian ministries, pastors, and counselors in the US committed to serving those seeking Christ-centered answers for sexual and relational problems. Many of our members and affiliates have national and international extended relationships as well.
What is RHN’s mission statement?
Restored Hope is a membership governed network dedicated to restoring hope to those broken by sexual and relational sin especially those impacted by homosexuality. We proclaim that Jesus Christ has life changing power for all who submit to Christ as Lord; we also seek to equip the church to impart that transformation.
Who can join Restored Hope Network?
Who will lead Restored Hope Network?
The initial leadership of RHN were individuals who were chosen by popular vote by the larger group of ministries that left Exodus International because of theological and leadership concerns. The Forming Committee was Stephen Black (First Stone Ministries,) Andrew & Annette Comiskey (Desert Stream Ministries), David Kyle Foster (Mastering Life Ministries), Dr. Robert Gagnon (Pittsburgh Seminary), Michael Newman (Christian Collation Reconciliation Ministries), Anne Paulk and Frank Worthen (New Hope Ministries).
At the first Restored Hope Network conference in Sacramento, a new board was chosen by vote: Stephen Black, Andrew Comiskey, Jason Thompson, Ronald Smith, Robert Gagnon, David Kyle Foster and Anne Paulk.
There are two very significant levels of leadership of this organization: those who are member directors, and those who hold positions on the board of directors and staff. In January of 2013, the Board of Directors hired Anne Paulk to the first executive staff position: Coordinator of Restored Hope Network.
This sounds great, but I’d like to know more about the theological beliefs of Restored Hope Network?
We have our official doctrinal statement under “About Us” on our website entitled “What We Believe.” It is details the basics of the Christian faith and biblical view of human sexuality.
How can I get to know more about Restored Hope Network?
Attending our annual conference is one of the best ways to connect with us. We hold an annual conference in varying locations around the United States for the purpose of encouraging those who are hurting from a loved one’s homosexuality, those who are or considering leaving homosexuality behind in their pursuit of wholeness in Christ, equipping pastors, counselors, and those who seek to support those who are hurting from sexual and relational brokenness.
Our second conference is to be held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It will be all day on Friday and Saturday on June 21st and 22nd, 2013. Our “Save the Date” flyer is available on our website under “Events.” Each conference is filled with useful and encouraging teachings and stories of lives impacted by gender issues and homosexuality that have emerged into hope and a future.
Our first gathering was held on September 21, 22 in Sacramento, California. Our speakers included Dr. Robert Gagnon, Andrew Comiskey, Melvin Wong, Carol Wagstaff, Anne Paulk and Frank Worthen and included multiple testimonies of lives impacted by Christ.
